Professor Xiaoou Sean TANG

Xiaoou Tang (S¨93-M¨96-SM¨02-F¨09) received the B.S. degree from the University of Science and Technology of China, Hefei, in 1990, and the M.S. degree from the University of Rochester, Rochester, NY, in 1991. He received the Ph.D. degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cambridge, in 1996. He is a professor in the Department of Information Engineering, the Chinese University of Hong Kong. He worked as the group manager of the Visual Computing Group at the Microsoft Research Asia from 2005 to 2008. He has received the Best Paper Award at the IEEE Conference on Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition (CVPR) 2009. Dr. Tang is a program chair of the IEEE International Conference on Computer Vision (ICCV) 2009 and an associate editor of IEEE Transactions on Pattern Analysis and Machine Intelligence (PAMI) and International Journal of Computer Vision (IJCV). Professor Jianzhuang LIU

Jianzhuang Liu received the Ph.D. degree from the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 1997, the ME degree from Beijing University of Posts & Telecommunications, China, and the BE degree from Nanjing University of Posts & Telecommunications, China. He spent two years at the School of Mechanical and Production Engineering, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, as a research fellow after obtaining the Ph.D. degree. He spent several years as a postdoctoral fellow in the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Now he is an assistant professor in the Department of Information Engineering, the Chinese University of Hong Kong. His research interests include image processing, computer vision, pattern recognition, graphics, and artificial intelligence. |
